i absolutely LOVE bridal sessions! you can't hide the joy in the soon-to-be bride's face :)
i wanted to create a post just highlighting some of my favorite portraits i've had the privilege of doing....
this first one is anika - she is such a great friend of mine and she just recently got hitched this past weekend! i loved this session because she is such a beautiful girl and her dress was unbelievably gorgeous! we saw this window at SMU and she mentioned that jayson (her man) LOVES huge chapel windows like this. it turned out being my favorite shot of the day.
i mean COME ON - just look at how good she looks!
this is lindsay - we found this amazing stair case at an old historic park in one of the buildings. her dress was so unique and SO beautiful! this was my favorite shot because of how elegant she looked on that old antique stairway. i also got to shoot her wedding which was LOVELY! everything they did was unique and fun.
this is kelsey - we loved this shot because her man plays the guitar and sings. we just thought it was too perfect to pass up :) she also just recently tied the knot this month. i had the privilege of shooting her wedding as well and it was SUCH a sweet wedding :) i'll be posting on that soon enough i'm sure!
this is lacy - she is such an amazing woman of God and i am SO privileged to know her! we actually did this shoot TWO YEARS after her big day! she regretted not having any fun pictures of her and her husband together from the day of their wedding so i took them to a few different fields and we got some great shots.
this is candis - i am so glad that we stopped at this old run down home in waxahachie to take this picture....mainly because afterwards they picked this house up and moved it to another area....it just doesn't look quite as cool anymore.
she was such a fun bride to shoot because she was literally up for anything.
this is bethany - i love this shot so much. i felt that she looked absolutely stunning in it and also powerful. she is SUCH a kind-hearted girl and this session was so much fun! i love when brides wear beautiful long veils. it just always looks amazing in portraits!
this is arin - she was probably one of the most stunning brides i've ever been able to shoot. she wore little makeup and her hair was very simple and down yet she looked so elegant and effortlessly beautiful! her dress was also stunning and her wedding was absolutely amazing. it was planned to be an outdoor wedding but a crazy storm changed all that. it ended up being moved indoors at a large home in waxahachie, texas. everyone was crammed together as the string quartet played beatles songs throughout the ceremony.
it was such a fun day and she was the calmest bride i've ever seen!
this is courtney - i love that this one portrait looks so much like a fairy tale. we got a very late start on our shoot that day and the sun started setting on us sooner than we liked! however, it made for some beautiful shots near the pond.
this is monique - she wanted to go with a more traditional look for her bridal portrait and i love how this one turned out. it's also one of my favorites because she had braces at the time and she wanted me to remove them for her portraits. i gladly did and i think it looks pretty dang good......if i do say so myself ;)
this is natalie - her gown is one of my favorites! she bought it at a small boutique near here and it looked beautiful on her. her wedding was also one of my favorites to shoot. they got married in dallas and it was flawless! they had a beautiful ceremony followed by a beautiful reception full of dancing that was tons of fun!
hope you enjoyed looking at these - have a beautiful day!
